Jill Stahl Tyler, President
Jill is the owner of a local business, Global Cow & Vermont Fascination, which specialize in ag tourism and international training. Jill is also the mother to three children, one attends Academy School currently. (The other two are at Brattleboro Union High School.) She also serves as chair for the Brattleboro Town School Board (elementary schools), and representative of the Brattleboro Town School Board on the Windham Southeast Supervisory Union board and the Act 46 Study Group.
Ellen Capy, Secretary and Treasurer
Ellen is the co-owner of a local business, Mocha Joe's, a coffee shop and coffee roasting facility. Ellen has two children who have come through Academy School, and are now at Brattleboro Area Middle School and BUHS. For many years, Ellen has dedicated long hours to the winter activities & programs' fundraising at Academy school.
Debbie Cook
Debbie is a retired schoolteacher who has given many years to teaching the many public school children of Brattleboro. Debby brings intimate knowledge of the school system and a true love of learning.
Rob Szpila
Rob currently has children at Academy School (and BAMS and BUHS). He brings a strong background knowledge of fundraising and grants from his work at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Windham County and the Brattleboro Retreat--and a love for the winter sports programs as he has chaperoned many days of skiing and snowboarding.
JoEllen Tarallo
JoEllen is a resident of Brattleboro who has had two children attend the elementary, middle and high school in Brattleboro. She is an educator, educational administrator and non-profit director who is excited about the idea of helping to create an endowment that can support current and future enrichment activities for the benefit of children and families in the community.
How the Board Is Comprised
